In late October, I asked the HOA Manager for Tanoan if he had any recommendations for a realtor. He said he had heard good things about Kathleen Tomlinson. I contacted her and she took on the task of selling our house. My wife had been diagnosed with early onset of Alzheimer's so I needed someone who could sell the house as quickly as possible but also someone that was sensitive enough to deal with someone needing special considerations. She went right to work and we immediately had potential buyers viewing the house. It sold on December 7trh. During the inspection process there were some issues found with the house that needed repair. The buyers became very concerned and even though we had a plan to make corrections, they backed out of the deal on News Years Eve. We had movers arriving on January 11th. As you can imagine I was very upset about the situation and did not know what I was going to do. We had already made arrangements to move into a retirement home in Virginia and now I was afraid everything was going to be put on hold until the house sold. We met with Kathleen on January 2nd. She asked me if I needed the money from the sale of the house to move. No I did not. She said in that case we should move. She would supervise the repairs to the house and sell it after we had left. We departed on the day we had planned and moved to Virginia. It took us four days to drive to Virginia. On the day we arrived there was an email from Kathleen telling us she had buyers for our home. We closed on the house in March. We would never have been able to make the move and get our house sold without the professional and efficient way Kathleen went about her business. Not only was she a great Realtor she has become a friend.
